Merge Tags Cheat Sheet

Woorise offers merge tags for all kinds of dynamic information. Paste a merge tag into your confirmation message or email notification to add personalized or dynamic content. The following list outlines all the standard merge tags available to you.

{all_fields}

Displays a preformatted HTML table containing all of the submitted values. You may append multiple modifiers using comma as a saperator. They are not order sensitive.

{all_fields:value,empty}

admin
Uses the fields’ Admin Labels (if specified) rather than the default field labels.

value
Displays the actual value rather than the corresponding value label. This typically applies to fields with multiple inputs such as checkboxes, radio buttons and drop downs.

empty
Shows fields for which no value was submitted.

noadmin
Hides field output of fields set to a Visibility of Admin Only.

nohidden
Hides field output of fields using the Hidden field type. It doesn’t affect to fields set to a Visibility of Hidden.

{entry}

Can be used in areas such as notifications and confirmations to display entry properties after the entry has been saved. Because this relies on the entry being saved, it cannot be used as a field’s default value.

{entry:id}

id
The entry ID of the submission.

date_created
The UTC date and time the entry was created in the yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss format.

currency
The currency code used for this submission.

payment_status
The current payment status of the entry: Authorized, Paid, Processing, Pending, Active, Expired, Failed, Cancelled, Approved, Reversed, Refunded, Voided.

payment_date
The UTC date and time, in the yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss format, when the payment add-on processed the entry.

payment_amount
The payment amount without currency formatting.

transaction_id
The ID of the transaction returned by the payment gateway.

{ip}

Displays the form submitter’s IP address.

{user_agent}

Displays the browser and platform information of the machine from which the entry was submitted. Here is an example:

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/604.3.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/11.0.1 Safari/604.3.5

{pricing_fields}

Displays the product/order table in a confirmation or notification.

{payment_action}

The {payment_action} merge tag can be used in notifications assigned to events added by payment add-ons such as PayPal and Stripe to output details of the event which triggered the notification.

{payment_action:amount}

type
The event action type: complete_payment, refund_payment, fail_payment, add_pending_payment, void_authorization, create_subscription, cancel_subscription, expire_subscription, add_subscription_payment, fail_subscription_payment, or a custom action type added by the add-on.

amount
The transaction amount without currency formatting.

amount_formatted
The transaction amount with currency formatting.

transaction_type
The transaction type: authorization, payment, or refund.

transaction_id
The ID of the transaction returned by the payment gateway.

subscription_id
The ID of the subscription returned by the payment gateway.

entry_id
The entry ID of the submission.

payment_status
The current payment status of the entry: Authorized, Paid, Processing, Pending, Active, Expired, Failed, Cancelled, Approved, Reversed, Refunded, Voided, or a custom status added by the add-on.

note
The note which was added to the entry for this event by the add-on.

{date_mdy}

Displays the current date in the MM/DD/YYYY format.

{date_dmy}

Displays the current date in the DD/MM/YYYY format.

{random_choice}

This merge tag is currently available for the Default Value of the Drop-Down field. When the merge tag is entered in the Advanced tab under “Default Value,” the platform will select a random value from all the available choices in the drop-down field. Please also set this field to “Hidden,” as it does not take into account what the user has selected.
