Calling All Heroes 2026

A Telecommunicator Exclusive Initiative

Calling All Heroes is a nationwide initiative created to celebrate and uplift the voices of public safety telecommunicators — the heroes who answer the call when every second counts. What began as a simple gesture of appreciation has evolved into a storytelling movement that brings visibility, recognition, and gratitude to the dispatch community.

Each year from January through National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW), we collect stories from telecommunicators across the country. These stories are shared during NPSTW and throughout the year to highlight the extraordinary work of those behind the headset.
